What Nanna Made

Hello everyone, Welcome to my new shop! This is the place where I realise a dream I had as a young student at art college many years ago. I also had a dream to be a teacher of young children and this I achieved this after getting married and having a family. My three wonderful children are all grown up now and have started families of their own making me a Nanna (hence the shop name , 'What Nanna Made'). Moving forward towards my dream (I now work part time as a teacher), I have spent the past year, of 2016, rediscovering my skills as a designer and crafter, and exploring opportunities. The first step was the purchase of a new sewing machine. With this, I could revisit rusty sewing skills, including patchwork and embroidery techniques lost in the depths of time. This led to the design of a baby quilt for my new grandson, Teddy. A few quilts later and the appetite for even more creativity in my life was well and truly wetted. A desire to use my own fabric designs, in my quilts, led me to 'Woven Monkey'. How amazing to find a website for a business based in the U.K. that can make dreams come true!
